BVPA 'Bridal Register'
We all know how a bridal register works: the couple-to-be make a wish list of things they'd like and guests can choose something appropriate from the list to purchase as their gift. Well, we thought it would be a good idea to set up our own 'Bridal Register' for the BVPA!
It works like this:
- We list a series of specific items and their cost. (These could include, for example: reserving the BVPA's name with Fair Trading, printing 'No Mines' signs like the ones used on the Liverpool Plains, purchasing special maps of soil classes from the appropriate NSW Government Department, taking out small ads in the Mudgee Guardian - anything and everything.)
- You pledge an amount of money to help in covering that cost. (It can be the whole amount or just part of the amount, a lot or just a little - it ALL helps.)
- We acknowlege your contribution on the website (or you can remain anonymous if you wish).
- You send us a cheque for the amount you've pledged - or make an electronic deposit direct into our account. (We will then send you a receipt.)
Of course, all contributions will be receipted. Please note, however, that contributions are NOT tax deductible.
The Bylong Hall Committee (that organises the Mouse Races) has donated a $500 'float' to get the ball rolling. (And - until we've set up our own BVPA accounts - they've kindly agreed to let us use theirs to handle incoming funds.)
